Make sure you grab the thick winter jacket and sunglasses this afternoon! It will be bright and sunny but cold. The breeze will ease as the day goes on so it will feel a bit more comfortable. Temperatures will reach into the middle 30s this afternoon.
Meanwhile, an area of low pressure will continue to slide out of the Ohio River Valley making it's way to the Carolina coast tonight, then exploded into a major storm! However, it is still looking as though we will receive nothing more than a few flurries from this storm as it pass to our south. The bulk of the moisture with this storm will stay off shore. Areas north and west of a line from Boston to Providence to Hartford to New York City will likely end up seeing next to nothing. It will be another miss for us here in western Mass! The area with the greatest chance of picking up some accumulating snow would be The Cape and Islands, during the day tomorrow.
The weekend is looking dry and seasonable but next week, high pressure builds off shore funneling warmer air up the East Coast for much of the week. The warm up starts Monday with temps in the 50s but we may see a couple of days with temps reaching into the 60s!
