Get ready for a big warm-up! We've been talking about it for a while now and it starts this afternoon! High pressure will build off shore, the Jet Stream will lift into Canada and a southerly flow will take hold! We can expect temperatures to run 10-30 degrees above normal for this time of year over the next 7-10 days! (The normal high is 42-45 during this time period) Temperatures this afternoon will reach into the lower 50s. Now, with the milder readings we are dealing with some cloudiness but aside from a few sprinkles here the there we should stay dry.
We'll see more in the way of sunshine tomorrow with temperatures reaching near 60 in the afternoon! Spring will be in the air but we are just getting started!. By Wednesday we'll be basking in near record-breaking warmth with temperatures near 70! The record for Wednesday is 68 set in 2002 (Westover Air Reserve Base) There is a good chance that we will break the record! The last time we touched 70 was the beginning of November.
Some rain will likely move in on Thursday and with that cool temperatures. However, readings will still be running in the 50s to near 60 and as we dry out for later in the week and into the weekend we stay rather mild.
