We've had a beautiful spring-like afternoon with temperatures topping off near 60. It continues be on the breezy side but still mighty fine for a March afternoon. Our average high temps for this time of year is in the mid-40s. Upper 50s near 60 is 10-15° above average!
Winds will calm in to the overnight, and with the clear skies over head, our temperatures will fall in to the mid 20s. A chilly and frosty night for sure. The dry air mass we have right now will allow our temperatures to soar once the sun rises, making for some great afternoons this weekend. We'll keep the same blue skies from today in to both Saturday and Sunday with afternoon highs topping off in the low 60s.
A low pressure makes its way from the Gulf of Mexico into the Great Lakes, setting up shop in the Midwest. This low pressure system will add some clouds to our weather on Sunday evening, and some chances for rain as we get in to the beginning of the week.
We'll turn closer to average on Monday, temperature-wise, topping off in the 40s with scattered showers.
FYI- Don't forget to set you clocks forward Saturday night before you go to bed as we spring ahead to Daylight Saving Time! This means we lose an hour of sleep but we gain an hour of light in the evenings. The sun will set Sunday evening at 6:55p.
