It was another beautiful afternoon to close out the weekend with sunshine and temperatures topping out in the lower 60s. Hopefully you were able to take advantage of the mild and dry conditions as our weather pattern is about to turn rather unsettled.
Clouds will be on the increase tonight with temperatures dropping back into the mid to upper 30s. A area of low pressure tracks south of New England on Monday and that means rain will move into the region tomorrow morning. As the precipitation begins it may be cold enough in some the higher elevations that it could begin as a bit of sleet and even some light freezing rain before changing over to rain. That could lead to some slick spots tomorrow morning.
The best chance of seeing mixed precipitation would be along the east slopes of the Berkshires and into Franklin counties, where it may take longer for temperatures to rise above freezing. By later Monday afternoon it looks like many areas will be dealing with a chilly rain. Highs will top out in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
Our weather pattern remains unsettled for much of the week with several chance for showers. At least after a seasonably chilly day on Monday temperatures will rebound back toward the upper 50s and lower 60s by the middle of the week.
