Fleeting Glimpse At Winter's Last Gasp

Posted: Updated:

Snow moved thru this morning, but most of the snow has already melted away with temperatures in the upper 40s under a high March sun angle. Certainly appears to be winter’s last gasp before we finally transition into Spring. Coincidentally we received what could be the last snow of the season on the first full day of Spring.

Sunshine returned this afternoon a high pressure moved in. We'll see windy conditions develop this evening adding a chill. It will feel like the low 20s overnight.

A sunny Tuesday before clouds move in for the afternoon. We add a few chances for rain showers on Wednesday as a stationary weather front sits  across the area and may bring periods of rain. This stationary front will wobble northward on Thursday as a warm front bringing us milder air. Then, it returns as a cold front Thursday night with a round of rain. Temperatures warm up with highs approaching 60 by late next week as sun returns Friday. There is a slight chance that the stationary front turns in to a back door cold front on Thursday, keeping our temperatures in the mid 40s all day, as opposed to upper 50s.

Right now, it looks like a dry start to the Easter weekend. It's milder by Easter Sunday with showers approaching for the afternoon.
