Sunshine for Easter Weekend still in the forecast

Posted: Updated:
SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

Clouds and cool temperatures will hang around for a bit longer this afternoon before we see some sunshine and moderating temperatures. There may still be a brief shower with a rumble of thunder possible later this afternoon as a strong cold front moves through. However, most of the afternoon will be dry. Temperatures will rocket to near 60, hopefully, for a few hours before the front arrives this evening. The forecast this afternoon is tricky but we're still hopeful that we'll see at least some sun. The forecast for the weekend it a bit easier. It's looking SUNNY!

Behind this cold front high pressure, fair weather will build into western Mass for the weekend! Both Saturday and Sunday are looking nice with a mostly sunny sky and comfortable temperatures. It's breezy and cool Saturday with afternoon temperatures in the middle 50s. Easter Sunday will start cold with areas of frost but it will be a very comfortable afternoon with temperatures in the upper 50s to near 60 along with a light wind and sunshine.
