It will be mainly dry and cool this afternoon however we still could see a few pop-up showers here and there as an upper level system moves through. Most of the afternoon will be dry and most of the showers will be light, but a brief heavy shower is possible with even a bit of hail. It will be seasonably chilly and breezy. A few snow flakes may mix in too, mainly across the hills.
Skies will clear overnight. It will be chilly with temperatures falling into the 20's.
Tomorrow, a Clipper system will slide to our south and offshore. However it is still looking as though it will pass too far south of western Mass to give us anything significant. Sunshine will give way to some cloudiness tomorrow afternoon but we'll see nothing more than a rain or snow shower. We are not expecting any accumulation. Coastal Connecticut, the Cape and Islands could pick up a slushy coating to 2".
A second cold front will follow this system tomorrow night. This will return the sunshine for Sunday, but will also deliver another March-like chill. Sunday will be sunny but chilly with temperatures in the 40'S.
It will turn milder on Monday but the milder air will bring in some rain showers. Most of the day will be dry but you'll need to keep the umbrella on stand by. The Sox home open is Monday. They will likely get it in but showers will be in the area. It will be in the 50s with a gusty breeze blowing out to right-center. If you going to the game dress for the rain just in case.
