Sunshine prevailed again today as our stretch of great weather continued. Today made the fifth day in a row with full sunshine! Temperatures topped top off in the low to mid 70s, about 8-10 degrees warmer than yesterday. The wind is calming down, but the wind will pick up once again tomorrow.
High pressure will stay anchored across the northeast through most of tomorrow. It will be warm and breezy tomorrow with temps into the mid 70s. A few clouds will mix in during the afternoon as a cool front slips down from northern New England.
It will likely be bit cooler for marathon runners as clouds may start to move in a bit earlier in Boston. Temperatures will stay mainly in the 60s for Boston then fall into the 50s late in the day as a weak sea breeze tries to kick in. It should end up being ideal for both spectators and runners.
Showers will arrive overnight Monday, lasting into Tuesday morning as this cool front slips through the area. It will drop temperatures back into the 60s on Tuesday and upper 50s on Wednesday. Most of the rain on Tuesday arrives in the morning with an isolated shower possible in the afternoon. Some sunshine will mix in on Tuesday as well. Rainfall amounts will likely be less than 1/4" of an inch. While not a lot of rain, it should serve us well to get rid of some of the pollen in the air. Allergy suffers rejoice!
We begin the warm up Thursday into Friday before we are back in the low 60s and 50s for the weekend.
