Clouds to sun has brush fire threat goes up this afternoon

Posted: Updated:

Skies will continue to give way to sunshine this afternoon as an area of high pressure settles into the area. It will be sunny, breezy and cool with a gusty breeze. Temperatures will be more April-like with highs in the 60's.

By the way, there is still an elevated brush fire threat for this afternoon. Things will dry out quickly as the sun comes out and the winds pick up. It's a good idea to put off any controlled burns again today. Any brush fire that starts has the potential to spread fast.

It will be clear and chilly overnight as winds diminish. Temps will fall into the upper 20s and lower 30s. The record low for tomorrow is 27 set in 2001. If wind go calm we have a chance of breaking it. Although tomorrow will start off chilly it will be a beautiful day. Tomorrow will feature sunny, cool conditions with a light breeze. Temperatures will reach into the lower 60's, right about where they should be for this time of year.

It will turn a bit unsettle for the start of the week with the chance of showers Monday afternoon into Tuesday. Most of the time it will not be raining but it will certainly be a bit damp and chilly by Tuesday.
