Chilly Overnight; Lots of Sun into Wednesday

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

Steady rain moved out this afternoon but it will remain damp, cold and raw into the evening! It was pretty dreary this afternoon with the chilly temperatures and the rain. Most spots picked up between 1/3"-1/2" of rain. Meanwhile, central New Hampshire and Vermont actually saw some snow this afternoon!

The area of low pressure and front responsible for the rain will move out tonight with partial clearing. As high pressure moves in tomorrow, we can expect another stretch of dry weather that will likely last through the weekend.

Unfortunately there isn't a big warm up expected through the weekend. Temperatures will be a just a bit below normal with lows near 30 and highs near 60. Our average high/lows are 64/38. You'll need the spring jacket but also the sun glasses and sunscreen. The UV Index will be running high. Tree pollen will be on the rise again as well.

There may be some cloudiness from a system that will pass to our south late Thursday and Friday but the rain should stay away. The next chance of rain will like arrive either Sunday night into Monday.

No big warm up is expected through the weekend but at least we'll see a fair amount of sunshine. Temperatures will be a just a bit below normal with lows near 30 and highs near 60.
