We started this morning pretty chilly – 28° in Springfield. That's only 1° degree from the record low! Under lots of sunshine, we rose through the 50s to the low 60s. With clear skies and light winds, temperatures will tumble into the 20s overnight so tomorrow will start a bit frosty once again. You'll certainly need the heavier jacket as you leave the house.
High pressure will stay in charge for tomorrow as well. Sun may mix with a few clouds in the afternoon but it's looking nice with highs once again near 60. Overall, the dry weather will last through the weekend. Unfortunately there isn't a big warm up expected through the weekend. Temperatures will be a just a bit below normal with lows near 30 and highs near 60. Our average high/lows are 64/38.
There may be some cloudiness from a system that will pass to our south Thursday night and Friday. There is a slight chance for some showers late Friday, but we'll stay dry on Saturday. The next chance of rain will like arrive Sunday night into Monday with temperatures in the 50s. Monday's rainfall looks to be around .25" - .75" of very beneficial rain.
