It was a much cooler afternoon compared to yesterday. We reached a high of 67 yesterday at Westover A.R.B. in Chicopee while today's high at Westover was only 50. That's over 15 degrees cooler in 24 hours. The good news is temperatures will slowly moderate back toward seasonable levels this week. The bad news is the weather pattern is looking rather unsettled with shower chances just about every day this week.
The threat for showers will continue into this evening. Late tonight any showers should taper to areas of drizzle and fog overnight. Lows tonight will drop back into the upper 30s and lower 40s. We will wake up to cloudy skies and some drizzle tomorrow morning but there is the chance for showers once again tomorrow afternoon. Highs top out in the middle 50s tomorrow afternoon.
It looks like we will dry out briefly on Tuesday morning before we turn unsettled once again as we head into the later part of next week. A area of low pressure will approach from the Great Lakes and stall out just to our south and it looks like it will remain there for several days. The result will be chances for showers just about each day this week into the weekend. It will not be raining all the time and it looks like there will plenty of dry periods as well. Temperatures will slowly rise each day heading towards the upper 60s by late this week.
