Make sure you have the rain gear handy through this evening. We picked up an additional 1/4" – 1/3" so far today. Although the steady rain has moved out, this evening could see some additional showers. Clouds will stick around into the evening, with fog developing in some spots. We hit a high temperature of 52°, 13° below the average high temperature for this time of year. This was more like a late March day than an early May one. We've only had one day in the last ten that was above average!
We keep that stretch of cool days going as it's still looking unsettled for the remainder of the week. An upper level low will stall out just to our south over the next few days. The result will be more showers tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday.
It will NOT be raining the entire time, and we may see a few peeks of sun here or there. Things will improve somewhat over the weekend but a front will move through at some point bringing us one final round of showers and downpours before we clear out completely. Temperatures will moderate as we head into the weekend with a few more rain chances on Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. If we can get this front through western Mass Saturday night, then we would dry it out just in time for Mother's Day. Fingers crossed!
