It's been another cool and dreary afternoon but at least we have remained mostly dry. As we head into the evening there is the chance for showers but it looks like most of the shower activity will remain to our east. There once again could be some areas of drizzle overnight with lows dropping back into the lower to middle 40s.
A huge upper level low will continue to spin off shore through the weekend. It will not move out until Sunday but it will slowly weaken and drift south while throwing clouds and waves of moisture across the northeast. A cold front will move through on Sunday and will push this system out-to-sea, finally.
Tomorrow will feature more clouds with some afternoon showers but there may be a bit of sun here and there too, as this upper level low breaks down. As this system breaks down the air mass will moderate over time. Readings will climb to near 60 tomorrow then into the middle 60's for Saturday and Sunday.
Clouds will give way to some sun on Saturday but once again there is the chance for showers. A cold front will move through on Mother's Day bringing a few midday showers and downpours. If you are going to be out with mom make sure to have the umbrella on stand-by. It will be rather windy Sunday afternoon too, as this cold front zips through.
