It was another nearly perfect day out there as temperatures topped out in the upper 70s to 80 under mostly sunny skies. High pressure will remain in control through tomorrow, keeping clouds and rain away before changes arrive to close out the week.
Skies will remain clear tonight and thanks to clear and light winds temperatures drop off quickly tonight with overnight lows in the mid to upper 30s. Another fantastic day is on the way for Thursday with sunshine and highs in the upper 70s. A few locations could touch 80 tomorrow afternoon.
Sunshine will quickly give way to clouds on Friday as a cold pushes through. The front will kick off showers and even a few rumbles of thunder in the afternoon and evening.
We will dry out nicely for Saturday morning's Spirit of Springfield Pancake Breakfast. It will be sunny and comfortable for the event. Another front will move through late in the day on Saturday into Saturday night with another round of showers before it turns windy and cool but bright for Sunday.
Long range temperatures are trending down, so by Sunday, we are stuck in the upper 50s. Add a few degrees for Monday, but still about 10 degrees below the average temperature for this time of year.
