We set a new record high yesterday at Westover A.R.B. in Chicopee. We made it up to 94 which shatters the old record of 89 which was set back in 1991. There is the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. The best chance for rain comes tomorrow as some of the moisture associated with Tropical Storm Bonnie pushes toward the region.
We will start off with partly sunny skies this morning. There is the chance for scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. If you have outdoor plans this afternoon make sure to keep an eye to the sky and be ready to head indoors. Any thunderstorms could have heavy rain. Highs today top out in the mid to upper 80s though some lower 90s are not out of the question.
It's looking like Memorial Day will be the wettest out of the long weekend days. Tropical moisture off the Carolina coast my get lifted into the northeast bringing us showers, downpours and heavy rain for the holiday. It will remain humid tomorrow with dew points in the 60s and highs temperatures topping out in the lower to middle 70s
