After a cloudy and cooler day today warmer weather arrives for the first half of the weekend. Another cold front pushing through the region on Sunday will bring a soaking rain for much of the day.
Skies will clear tonight with overnight lows dropping back into the mid to upper 50s. A weak ridge of high pressure slides in for the start of the weekend. This means tomorrow will turn out to be a fine June day with sunny, warm conditions. Temperatures will reach into the low to mid 80's with dew points in the lower 60s. It should be great weather for the cookouts and graduation parties. I wish I could say the same for Sunday.
Things will go downhill for the second half of the weekend with rain developing by late morning likely lasting into the evening on Sunday. Moisture from the Ohio River valley will move our way. Temperatures on Sunday will stay in the 70's. Rain could be on the heavy side during the second half of the day with an embedded thunderstorm possible.
Sunshine returns for Monday. There are no heat waves in sight. Much of next week is looking cooler than normal with a t'storm or two mid week.
