Staying Dry and Warm into Wednesday

Posted: Updated:

What an afternoon! Our temperatures have been very comfortable, near the seasonal average of 78° for afternoon highs. Winds were a bit breezy this afternoon, but relax as we go into tomorrow.

Tonight is a good night to give those air conditioners a break by opening your windows. Lows will fall to the upper 40s and lows 50s under mostly clear skies. Tomorrow will feature abundant sunshine with temperatures soaring into the low 80s. Our dew points remain low, keeping the humidity levels down. This is the stretch of dry, sunny, warm weather you hoped for during winter.

A low pressure system will drop through the Great Lakes into the Mid-Atlantic on Thursday. That low will add a few clouds to our weather, but we'll remain dry as we head into the weekend.

Temperatures will come up slightly tomorrow and into the weekend. Highs will top off in the mid to low 80s but with dew points mainly in the 50s, it will stay very comfortable.

There is a little uncertainty on the Father's Day forecast. Right now, we are looking dry with temperatures in the mid 80s and mostly sunny skies. However, if a system off shore retrogrades back into southern New England then we could see a few showers. The jury is still out so stay tuned.

We stay warm into the beginning of next week. Our best chance for rain over the next 7 days will be Monday night into Tuesday as a front approaches from the west.
