A spectacular Father's Day weekend

Posted: Updated:
SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

We are in the middle of a fantastic stretch of weather that will last through Father's Day Weekend. Each day this weekend will feature plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures and comfortable levels of humidity.

High pressure over New England will keep us sunny and dry. We can expect highs in the 80s with overnight lows in the 50s with wall to wall sunshine both Saturday and Sunday! It will be nearly perfect for dad's big day! Lows tonight and tomorrow night will fall back into the middle to upper 50s.

We won't see any meaningful rain until Tuesday when a cold front brings a few showers and storms. Out ahead of the front it will turn humid for the start of next week but until then it looks to be clear sailing! What a way to finish off Spring! Summer officially starts next Monday at 6:34 PM. (the summer solstice)

We're back to near our seasonal average of near 80 to finish out next week. Besides Tuesday, we are very dry into next weekend. We need any rainfall that we can get too. As of June 1st, our year-to-date rainfall deficit is -4.63", leading to pre-drought conditions across much of western Mass.
