A sunny and warm Father's Day

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

Happy Father's day to all the dads out there. We have a spectacular day on tap for any outdoor plans you may have today. Just remember to use plenty of sunscreen today as the UV index is at 10.

We will see wall to wall sunshine out there this afternoon. It will be a very warm afternoon with highs topping out in the mid to upper 80s. Even though it will be very warm it will still feel comfortable with dew points in the middle 50s. Under clear skies tonight low temperatures drop back into the middle and upper 50s.

We won't see any meaningful rain until Tuesday when a cold front brings a few showers and storms. Out ahead of the front it will turn humid for the beginning of the week but until then it looks to be clear sailing! What a way to finish off Spring! Summer officially starts Monday at 6:34 PM. (the summer solstice)

We're back to near our seasonal average of near 80 to finish out next week. Besides Tuesday, we are very dry into next weekend. We need any rainfall that we can get too. As of June 1st, our year-to-date rainfall deficit is -4.63", leading to pre-drought conditions across much of western Mass.
