Mostly clear tonight. A sunny and warm start to the work week

Posted: Updated:

Happy Father's day to all the dads out there. It was another fantastic afternoon with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 80s in many locations. It looks like a similar day is on tap for the start of the work week.

Skies will become mostly clear tonight though there could be some patchy fog before dawn tomorrow. Overnight lows drop back into the mid to upper 50s. Sunshine returns as we kick off the new work week with another very warm day on the way. Highs tomorrow will top out in the mid to upper 80s. Summer officially arrives tomorrow afternoon at 6:34 PM.

We won't see any meaningful rain until Tuesday when a cold front brings a few showers and storms, mainly early in the day. Highs on Tuesday will top out in the lower 80s but it will also feel a bit more humid as dew points rise into the lower 60s.

We're back to near our seasonal average of near 80 to finish out next week. Besides Tuesday, we are very dry into next weekend. We need any rainfall that we can get too. As of June 1st, our year-to-date rainfall deficit is -4.63", leading to pre-drought conditions across much of western Mass.
