An upper level system brought a couple of showers across western Mass early today but as quickly as they moved in, they have already moved out. Most of us stayed dry. It will be a nice, pleasant afternoon with mostly sunny skies. It will be warm and dry with temperatures near 80 and dew points in the 40s and 50s.
Temperatures will fall into the mid 40s overnight. A bit cooler than average, but still a nice night to crack those windows open.
Another, stronger area of low pressure will pass south of us tomorrow. Thursday had been shaping up to be somewhat showery, but with the low pressure tracking further and further to the south, most of the showers remain out of the area. The bulk of showers, if any, will be mainly south of the Pike in Hampden County.
In fact, we will likely see some sunshine, so temperature readings look to now make it well into the 70s. A good soaking would be nice since we do have pre-drought conditions across western Mass. But it's likely NOT in the cards for Thursday.
Behind this system, an area of high pressure will move in for Friday and will last through the weekend. We have another beautiful weekend on the way with sunny skies, warm temperatures and low levels of humidity. We may be looking at a repeat of last weekend!
