We've seen a mix of sun and clouds this afternoon and temperatures topped off in the mid 80s. Thankfully the dew points have remained fairly comfortable with no showers popping up this afternoon. The most action has been in Rhode Island and eastern Mass.
As the cold front departs, we may see a sprinkle squeezed out in the early evening, but the majority of us will stay dry into tonight.
High pressure will briefly build in tomorrow with sunny, warm, and dry conditions. Tomorrow is setting up to be a beautiful day with temperatures in the 80s and dew points in the 50s. It will be a fitting way to finish up June since the month has been so dry.
A fast-moving, strong upper level system with move through on Friday. The system will tap into some Atlantic moisture as it moves our way, so we will likely see some showers and maybe some thunderstorms. A few storms Friday evening could be strong with gusty winds and large hail.
This system moves out just in time for the weekend as high pressure builds in once again. Sunny, dry, breezy conditions are expected for the entire 4th of July weekend. Great weather for firework viewing, beach going and cookouts!
