THE TORNADO WATCH THAT HAD BEEN IN EFFECT EARLIER HAS BEEN CANCELED.
Fortunately we were able to get the beneficial rainfall without the severe weather. These storms had the potential to be strong to severe, but the strongest of the storms stayed to the west and north of the Pioneer Valley.
An isolated tornado was also possible.
One final line of showers and storms should approach western Mass by midnight. We aren't expecting anything more than some rain. The system that brought today's rain and storms will be long gone by morning. We have an absolutely beautiful weekend on the way!
High pressure builds in, bringing sunny, dry, breezy conditions for the entire 4th of July weekend.
Daytime highs will top off in the low to mid 80' with overnight lows into the 50s. It will be perfect for firework viewing, beach going and cookouts! Get out and enjoy!
By the way, it will be nearly perfect out on the Cape and across northern New England as well. It's looking like one of the best July 4th weekends in years!
