Clear skies and cool tonight. A sunny and very warm Independence Day

Posted: Updated:

We are two for two so far this holiday weekend. Once again we saw plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures this afternoon. There has been just a bit of a breeze this afternoon but winds will diminish this evening. One more dry day before we could see some showers on Tuesday.

With clear skies and light winds temperatures will drop off quickly after sunset. A cool and comfortable night is on the way as lows drop back into the lower 50s. It will be a great night to open the windows and a great night for sleeping. It will be a cool start tomorrow morning but temperatures will rebound rather quickly tomorrow.

Sunshine sticks around on tomorrow and it gets even warmer with highs in the mid to upper 80s. It will still be dry with dew points in the 50s. There is a elevated fire danger once again tomorrow so please be careful if you are going to do any grilling. Because we have been so dry any fires will have a tendency to spread very quickly. A coastal low will pass just to the south of New England on Tuesday and that could bring some showers to the region on Tuesday morning. Some clearing will take place Tuesday afternoon with highs in the lower to middle 80s. We could see some lower 90s on Wednesday under mostly sunny skies.
