We've seen lots of sunshine today as temperatures rocketed into the 90s. Thankfully it hasn't been to terribly humid this afternoon, with dew points in the low 60s. Our feels-like temperatures have generally been in the mid 90s. Just to our south in Hartford, they had a feels-like temperature earlier of 100°!
Though it does feel like a muggy and stormy day, that doesn't happen until tomorrow.
The humidity will start to increase overnight, keeping temperatures well up into the 60s for lows. Temperatures will be just as hot tomorrow with more 90 degree readings. Unlike today, dew points reach into upper 60s and low 70s, making it oppressively hot and humid.
There will also be a few scattered storms around tomorrow afternoon, so keep an eye to the sky. At the moment, the main threat appears to be downpours, moderate-sized hail, and lightning. Not everyone will see rain tomorrow, but a few of these storms could be strong.
It looks as though we have a better chance for downpours and storms on Friday and into the start of the weekend with a few disturbances moving through the warm, moist flow.
A cold front will push through point over the weekend possibly bringing a round of strong to severe storms before we turn much drier and more comfortable Sunday afternoon and for the start of next week.
