Not the best weekend for outdoor plans as we will see showers on and off both today and tomorrow. Drier air moves in early next week before summertime heat returns later in the week.
Expect cloudy skies for your Saturday with the chance for showers as well as a thunderstorm. The best chance for showers will come this afternoon into this evening but showers could pop up at any time today. It will still feel rather humid but it will also be cooler thanks to a northeasterly flow with highs topping out in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Showers are likely tonight as well with lows dropping back into the upper 50s to around 60. Any rain we can get is certainly beneficial as some parts of the area of running a rainfall deficit for the year of well over 6 inches.
That cold front will push through on Sunday so we will still be dealing with the chance for showers as well as the threat for a thunderstorm. Highs tomorrow top out in the lower and middle 70s. Showers will begin to come to an end tomorrow night with some overnight clearing and lows in the upper 50s and lower 60s.
Drier air begins to move in early next week and as we head later into the week we will see the return of summertime heat as highs approach the upper 80s and lower 90s starting on Wednesday.
