It was beautiful mid-July day with sunny skies, warm temperatures and lower levels of humidity. Temperatures have reached into the middle and upper 80s, coming up some 35-40 degrees from this morning's low of 50! It was a great afternoon and we'll stay mild as we head into this evening.
The humidity will build in tomorrow, making if feel more uncomfortable. Temperatures will reach 90 in the afternoon. Unfortunately this time around, the dew points will be well into the 60s, making the "feels-like" temperature more like the mid-90s.
A front will approach western Mass on Thursday bringing with it the chance of showers and storms. A storm or two could be on the strong side in the afternoon. Thursday won't be a complete washout, however you may want to have the umbrella nearby in case you get caught under a shower. In fact, some of Thursday could see some peeks of sunshine as it remains hot and humid. Temperatures will approach 90 once again.
The front bringing showers and storms on Thursday should depart by morning on Friday, leading to another very warm day. The front should lower the dew points that it should be pretty comfortable.
We'll be watching another front and an area of low pressure for the weekend. This could bring a few more showers or a period of rain but the timing is still up in the air at this point. It certainly will not be a washout but you may have to dodge a few raindrops. We'll hone in on the timing as we draw closer to the weekend.
