Showers and strong thunderstorms possible on Thursday

Posted: Updated:

We've hit the 90° mark for the 5th time this year, topping off at 91° at Westover A.R.B. The humidity made itself known as we went into the afternoon as dew points rose the mid 60s. It was a hot, hazy, and humid day!

Tonight will be partly cloudy with temperatures staying mild in the upper 60s. There may be a stray shower overnight, but most of us stay dry into tomorrow morning. Some areas could see some fog develop as well.

A front will approach western Mass Thursday, bringing with it the chance of showers and storms. A storm or two could be on the strong side in the afternoon. Thursday won't be a complete washout, however you may want to have the umbrella nearby in case you get caught under a shower. In fact, tomorrow will also feature some sunshine as it remains very warm and humid. Temperatures will approach 90 once again.

The front bringing showers and storms on Thursday should depart by Friday midday, leading to another hot but slightly less humid day. There is a slight chance for a shower on Friday, but most of the day will be dry. It will likely be the hottest day out of this stretch with temperatures into the low to mid-90's.

It's now looking as though the weekend will be rain-free. Showers will likely stay off shore. It will also be a bit cooler and less humid with temperatures in the 80's. It's looking like it will wind up being a great weekend!
