It's shaping up to be a typical summertime weekend here in Western Mass with very warm temperatures and slightly humid conditions. We may catch a brief break from the higher levels of humidity by the middle of next week.
After a mild start this morning with temperatures in the 60s highs will top out in the mid to upper 80s this afternoon. It will also feel humid with dew points in the 60s. A stalled out front over New England also means there is the chance for a spot shower or thunderstorm this afternoon. Certainly not going to be a washout but just keep an eye to the sky this afternoon.
Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected tonight with the chance for a shower or thunderstorm. Another mild and muggy night is on the way as overnight lows drop back into the lower and middle 60s. Sun and clouds expected on Sunday with the chance for a scattered shower or thunderstorm once again. Highs will be just a bit cooler tomorrow topping out in the lower and middle 80s.
The chance for showers and thunderstorms will continue into early next week. A cold front will push through on Tuesday evening and behind that front we will finally start to see some drier air working into the region before the humidity begins to make a return by Friday
