It was a hot and humid end to the weekend with temperatures in the 80s. There is the chance or a shower or thunderstorm before skies clear out tonight. Another hot and humid day is expected tomorrow before drier air moves into the region beginning on Tuesday.
There is the chance for a shower or thunderstorm late this afternoon into early this evening. The best chance for a shower or storm is to the east of the region. Skies will become mostly clear tonight with overnight lows dropping back into the lower 60s.
We will wake up to sunshine tomorrow morning. Clouds will begin to build in the afternoon and as a cold front approaches from the west we will see the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms. It's possible that we could see a couple of storms become strong to even severe. The main threat would be for damaging winds and heavy rain. It will be a hot and humid day with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s with dew points in the upper 60s.
Drier air works in beginning on Tuesday and will last into Thursday. By Friday the humidity will start to build back in with dew points in the 60s. The next chance for showers and thunderstorms looks like it will come on Saturday with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s.
