After showers and storms yesterday, today was really a beautiful afternoon! A much drier air mass has worked into southern New England thanks to a northwesterly breeze coming straight from Canada. We will top off in the low 80 and upper 70s with just a little cloudiness overhead. The clouds will begin to dissipate into the overnight as we head into the evening.
Temperatures will cool quickly overnight as readings fall to near 50 by morning. There may even be a few spots dipping into the upper 40s! Shut off the ACs and open up the windows!
Tomorrow will be nearly perfect as high pressure builds in! Wednesday will feature lots of sunshine, low levels of humidity, and comfortable temperatures with highs in the lower 80s.
Thursday will be warmer but still fairly dry and comfortable. After a cool start, readings will make a run at 90. Humidity values build just a bit as we go into Friday.
By Friday, heat will quickly build in out ahead of a cold front. This front will slice through the humidity and will bring a round of showers and storms in the afternoon. A few storms could be strong to severe.
The weekend is looking hot and a bit hazy with temperatures in the mid to low 90s. Most of the weekend looks to be dry, but a few showers could arrive late Sunday evening into Monday.
