We started this morning in the low 50s and a couple upper 40s, but rose very quickly with lots of sunshine! Despite temperatures rising into the upper 80s near 90 today, the humidity has been low enough that the heat indices weren't oppressive.
High pressure has shifted to our south, so our wind is now coming from the southwest. As the high pressure continues to move out of the area, we'll build clouds in advance of our next rain maker.
Tomorrow the heat and humidity will quickly build in out ahead of a cold front. This front will slice through the humidity and will bring a round of showers and storms to the area. Timing looks to be between 5pm and 9pm. Not everyone will see the strong storms, but those who do could have to deal with the strong to severe weather. Isolated damaging winds, torrential rains and hail could all be a threat.
The weekend is looking hot with moderate levels of humidity and sunshine. Temperatures will reach into the mid 90s on Saturday. It will be slightly cooler on Sunday and a bit less humid but temps will still reach near 90. It's still looking like a classic beach or "sit by the pool" weekend. Get out and enjoy!
We are a little cooler going into Monday, as a few shower and thunderstorm make their way to use late into Tuesday.
