There's some good news for Massachusetts residents looking to go to one of Connecticut's community college.
Asnuntuck Community College in Enfield, CT received approval from the Connecticut Board of Regents to test out a two-year pilot program that would allow Massachusetts residents to be charged Connecticut tuition and fees.
“We at Asnuntuck Community College are excited about this opportunity to eliminate the obstacle of cost-differential for both our current and prospective students from our partner state of Massachusetts. We have always considered residents of Massachusetts, the border of which is located less than three miles from our campus, to be a part of the region we serve. We view this as an opportunity to serve our college’s mission in providing increased access to top quality higher education and workforce training to members of our region," the college said in a statement.
The pilot program begins right away.
Fall classes begin on August 29.
