It was hot and humid this afternoon with temperatures reaching into the low to middle 90s and dew points climbing into the upper 60s and lower 70s, so heat indices have been between 95 and 100 degrees.
A line of storms dissipated as encountered the Berkshires. This first round of showers is through the central Connecticut River Valley with nothing more than a few sprinkles and light showers.
A second, stronger line of showers associated with the cold front moved through central New York and northeast Pennsylvania and dove into Connecticut, bringing only some light showers to western Mass.
This front will dry us out nicely for tomorrow and Wednesday. Dew points will be quite a bit lower but it will remain warm with highs in the low 90s each day. It will certainly feel more comfortable before the humidity builds back in later in the week.
Thursday will be just as hot with some humidity building. We could see a few showers and thunderstorms in the evening, overnight into Friday.
Friday is looking pretty unsettled with showers and a spotty thunderstorm possible. Temperature fall back into the 80s.
