We've seen plenty of sunshine this afternoon as temperatures once again reached into the lower 90s. Like yesterday, today was fairly dry with dew points mainly in the 50s. That meant for very comfortable conditions without the mugginess! Today made 7 days in a row with temps 90° or higher!
Tomorrow will be just as hot with a little humidity building back in. We could see a stray evening shower or storm. Temperatures will be back into the low to mid 90s, making it eight in a row for our current heat wave! We have not seen a heat wave that long since 1995!
It will be cooler on Friday as an area of low pressure tracks our way. It will still be muggy with lots of clouds and temperatures in the 70s and low 80s. It's looking promising for a steady period of rain, starting in the morning stretching through the afternoon and evening. We'll be on the north edge of the rain shield, but models are hinting for some good rain totals. We certainly need the rain.
This system will move out in time for the weekend. Things are looking good for both Saturday and Sunday at this point. We'll see a fair amount of sunshine with temperatures in the 80s along with low levels of humidity. There is some rain that arrives later in Sunday but overall the weekend is looking great!
We stay mild to start next week with temperatures in the 80s with dry conditions.
