The steady rain from this morning and evening have pushed to the south and east of the region. With a good amount of sun, temperatures topped off at 89°, nearly extending the heat wave to 9 days!
Though we didn't get the rain all day, we still picked up some beneficial rain in the area. Most places picked up between .10" to .25" of rain, but some spots saw over .50"! The rain this afternoon will come to an end this evening, leaving us with a few clouds tonight. Under partly cloudy skies, overnight lows will drop back into the upper 50s and lower 60s.
Things are looking good for Saturday. We'll see sunshine mixing with clouds and temperatures in the 80s with lower levels of humidity. There is the chance for showers Saturday night through much of Sunday.
Lows Saturday night drop back into the upper 50s and lower 60s. Highs on Sunday top out in the upper 70s near 80. A low pressure system tracks to our north and will bring an extended period of unsettled weather Sunday into Monday. While it won't be raining the entire time, we do have a chance of seeing heavy rain at times.
We dry out as we head into Tuesday with sunshine and temperatures back into the mid 80s.
