Showers and thunderstorms moved through some parts of the area bringing locally heavy rain. A cold front is pushing east of the region bringing in drier air for tomorrow and the beginning of the new work week.
Skies will clear out tonight and it will be slightly cooler than it was last night with overnight lows dropping back into the upper 50s and lower 60s. The breeze will pick up tomorrow as high pressure builds in from the west. Sunshine will mix with clouds from time to time. It will be a warm end to the weekend with daytime highs in the lower and middle 80s. At least it will feel more comfortable thanks to dew points in the lower 50s.
The start of next week looks very nice too with a slow warming trend, low levels of humidity and sunshine. Daytime highs will top out in the mid to upper 80s and nighttime lows will drop back into the upper 50s and lower 60s. The next chance of rain will arrive Wednesday afternoon with a few showers and storms.
