A mild and muggy night. Slightly drier air moves in tomorrow

Posted: Updated:

Our heat wave continues as we made it into the 90s once again at Westover in Chicopee. That marks four days in a row of 90 or better. We could get close to 90 again tomorrow but the good news is it looks like dew points will run slightly lower tomorrow afternoon.

Afternoon and evening showers and storms are possible again today with a passing cold front. The main threat with any thunderstorms would be for damaging wind gusts and torrential downpours, which could lead to street and poor drainage flooding. If you do have outdoor plans this afternoon keep an eye to the sky and be ready to head indoors if you hear thunder. Any showers and thunderstorms will come to an end later this evening with some clearing taking place overnight. A mild night on the way with lows dropping back into the upper 60s to around 70.

We will dry out briefly on Monday with partly to mostly sunny skies and slightly lower levels of humidity as dew points will fall back into the lower 60s. Highs tomorrow top out in the mid to upper 80s. The humidity will begin to build back in by mid-week with the chance for showers returning as well.
