Mostly clear skies continue overnight with a slight southerly breeze and mild temperatures, falling to around 60 by dawn. Patchy fog is possible through Thursday morning, otherwise expect clear skies to begin the day. High clouds will be on the increase Thursday afternoon ahead of an approaching cold front, but we are still looking at a hot day with highs back to the upper 80s and it will feel a bit humid again as well.
A cold front with spotty showers and thunderstorms enters our area Thursday evening, but with a lot of dry air to battle, not much wet weather will make it through. A shower or thundershower is possible after 7pm, then we are mostly cloudy overnight. A shower or thunderstorm is possible Friday as well, mainly in the morning to early afternoon as the front actually moves through.
We stay hot Friday with highs near 90 and more sunshine later in the day.
Drier air filters back into New England Saturday and we turn slightly cooler, especially at night. We stay wet-weather free as a ridge of high pressure continues to dominate weather across the East.
Another weak front crosses Monday and may stall to our south Tuesday and Wednesday, keeping our weather slightly unsettled. Highs in the 80s will be common.
