Turning more fall-like for Thursday

Posted: Updated:
SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

Skies gradually clear out tonight and dew points will be falling into the 40s by Thursday morning. Our temperatures will dip into the low 50s for most and some 40s for spots where winds become calm.

Thursday is looking like a near perfect weather day with sunshine, low humidity, a light breeze, and high temps around 70-can’t beat that!

High pressure is in control to end the week, which will keep Friday dry and sunny. Temperatures will warm a bit more, reaching the mid 70s in the afternoon as high pressure moves east and our winds shift out of the south. This trend continues Saturday, but we get more humid as well out ahead of a cold front.

Showers are looking likely for Sunday, beginning in the morning as a warm front moves through. We will have a warm, humid day on tap, which should help our rain chances. A cold front will slowly move into New England Sunday, but won’t exit until Monday-so showers and a few thunderstorms will stick around.

High pressure builds back in from the west Tuesday and Wednesday, allowing for drier air, but continued warm temps in the mid and upper 70s.
