A northeast wind has kept us cloudy and cool all day here in western Mass and tonight will be no different. Expect skies to remain mostly cloudy tonight with lows returning to the lower 50s for most and a few upper 40s in the Berkshires. We stay breezy overnight as well, so not everyone will see fog, but some of the sheltered valleys may get a little bit.
Thursday will begin pretty much the same with cloudy, cool conditions and a stray shower. Much of the day is looking dry again and the sun may break out for a bit in the afternoon. We are breezy and cool with highs staying in the lower 60s, but if the sun comes out for a time, we may get a bit warmer.
Low pressure to our southwest will be moving in our direction Friday, bringing back a chance for light rain. The best chance for showers will be Friday night through Saturday as the low moves toward New England. Rainfall amounts may approach an inch. A cold front moves through Sunday, plus our northeast wind continues-keeping scattered showers around.
We gradually get back to around 70 for highs early next week with some partial clearing, but we don’t really clear out completely. High pressure builds in to our northeast midweek, allowing for a bit more sun and cool temperatures-especially at night. All eyes should be on ‘Matthew’ which may affect our area sometime late next week/weekend-stay tuned.
