It's a cloudy start out there this morning as a cold front pushes through the region. The clouds will hang tough today and we could see a few showers, though many of us remain dry. Sunshine returns in time for Columbus Day.
A cold front is moving east this morning but the clouds and the chance for showers will linger here in Western Mass through much of the day. While the chance for showers here in the Pioneer Valley is low the Cape and much of the coast may get some decent rain today from tropical moisture getting pulled into the cold front, but sadly we miss most of that here in western Mass.
High pressure will be building in behind the front, which will bring rather breezy conditions today. Highs this afternoon top out in the upper 50s and lower 60s. We get chilly around here tonight with lows in the upper 30s, then we are looking at a sunny, cool Columbus Day. Tuesday morning temps may get close to freezing, then temperatures moderate through midweek.
Matthew- Matthew is now a post-tropical cyclone but still with winds of 75 mph. Matthew is bringing heavy rain to parts of the mid Atlantic states this morning but will begin to move out to sea later today and tonight.
