Turning colder and staying blustery through Friday

Posted: Updated:

Skies continue to clear out here in western Mass and rain is done for a few days. We are brisk for sure behind a departing cold front and gusts have occasionally reached the 30-35mph range! Temperatures continue to drop and most will be hovering in the upper 30s by dawn Friday. Expect blustery conditions to continue, adding a bit of a wind chill!

We've got a cooler and brisk Friday on tap here in western Mass with a persistent north-northwest breeze and highs in the mid and upper 50s. Winds will lighten through the afternoon and evening, allowing temps to drop fast once the sun sets. With clear skies Friday night, temperatures will fall into the mid and upper 20s by Saturday morning with a heavy frost likely.

Our weekend begins cool and tranquil with high pressure in control. We will see highs around 60 Saturday, then warm into the mid and upper 60s Sunday as the high moves offshore.

A cold front will move in from the north Monday, bringing a chance for showers and a good amount of clouds. Much of next week is looking milder than normal and high temps may hit 70s Wednesday ahead of another cold front. Not much rain is expected overall, but some showers will be in the forecast Wednesday night into Thursday. More rain is possible by the weekend.
