It's shaping up to be a dry but windy day today as the area of low pressure that brought the showers and even some wet snow to some areas pulls away from the region. A weak little system could bring a few showers tonight before dry but breezy conditions return for the start of the new work week.
Skies will gradually become mostly sunny this afternoon and the windy condition will continue. A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of Western Mass through 6 pm this evening. Winds could gust to over 45 mph at times. Spotty power outages may result due to weaker, drought-stricken trees coming down easier. Highs this afternoon will top out in the lower to middle 50s.
A weak system will pass to the south of the region tonight and that will bring increasing clouds and the chance for a few showers mainly south of the mass pike. It will remain breezy tonight as overnight lows fall back into the upper 30s and lower 40s. The breezy conditions will linger into Monday and Tuesday with daytime highs in the lower to middle 50s and night time lows in the upper 20s and lower 30s.
