Victim of deadly Southwick crash identified

SOUTHWICK, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

Investigators have identified the victim of a deadly crash from over the weekend.

Emergency crews were called to the area of that crash near 72 Feeding Hills Road around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

James Leydon, spokesperson for the Hampden County District Attorney's office, said that an initial investigation shows that a car driven by 26-year-old Joshua Palazzi of Granville "veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a vehicle that was traveling in the opposite direction."

Palazzi was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by members of the Southwick Police Department, the D.A.'s office, and the Mass. State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
