SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -

We get cold and frosty overnight with calming winds and dry air in place. Overnight lows bottom out in the mid to upper 20s for most, so layer up for Tuesday morning!

After a frigid start Tuesday, high pressure will be moving to the east, bringing in a slightly warmer breeze from the south. Expect sunny skies and temperatures in the 50s by the afternoon. We will see more clouds build in with an approaching warm front, keeping temperatures in the upper 30s to mid 40s Tuesday night with patchy fog. Wednesday will be an unseasonably warm day with highs soaring into the mid and upper 60s with clouds and sun.

Breezy and very mild Wednesday and Thursday ahead of an approaching cold front with temperatures nearing 70 for some. Rain will come into our area Thursday-mainly by the afternoon-with this cold front. An isolated thunderstorm is possible Thursday afternoon as well. Showers taper off late Thursday night and we turn breezy and much cooler Friday with gusty NW winds and highs in the lower 50s.
