Temperatures continue to fall into the low 50s tonight, then will steady out overnight due to more clouds and even a few spotty showers. Low pressure and a cold front are on the way for Thursday, which will keep temps mild with highs back to the upper 50s north of the Mass Pike and 60s south.
Rain will be moving in with this area of low pressure as well, but if the low tracks north, most of the morning showers will stay north. Right now, morning showers are most likely north of the Pike and especially north of Rt. 2. By the afternoon, our cold front will move in, bringing everyone a chance for showers and a rumble of thunder. We turn cooler by the evening and much chillier overnight as skies gradually clear.
We turn blustery and chilly Friday as high pressure starts moving in our direction. Highs only reach the lower 50s with northwest winds gusting to 20-25mph through the day. Expect a good amount of sunshine to end the week and a clear, cold and frosty start Saturday morning. A few upper level disturbances roll through this weekend, keeping us cool and brisk with patchy clouds-but dry. High temps stay at and slightly below normal through Monday. We get milder Tuesday and Wednesday with high pressure to our east and another approaching cold front to our west.
