Clouds moved back in this afternoon which made for another rather cloudy day. A dry and brighter day is expected on Monday before a couple of low pressure systems will bring some much needed rain to the region Tuesday - Thursday.
Skies will gradually clear out tonight and the breeze will become lighter. Temperatures will drop off quickly as the skies begin to clear and another cold night is on the way with overnight lows dropping back into the lower to middle 20s. It will be a cold start tomorrow morning but we should manage to see lots of sunshine from start to finish. Highs tomorrow will top out in the lower 40s.
Temperatures will gradually rise heading into next week, with Wednesday being the warmest day of the week. Despite the warm temperatures, we will also have to contend with some soaking rains Tuesday night through Thursday. There are two consecutive low pressure systems that track through the Mid-Atlantic towards New England. The track of the lows determine exactly how much rain we get. At this point, it looks like rain totals could exceed two inches. That would certainly help our drought situation.
