Fog will be dense in spots overnight so travel with caution as visibility may drop to a quarter-mile or less at times. A stray shower or drizzle/mist is possible through Wednesday morning's commute, but overall our weather remains quiet with temperatures hovering in the low 40s.
Our next system moves into New England Wednesday afternoon with a light rain spreading back across our area. Rain may turn heavy at times again by Wednesday evening, which will slow down the commute for sure. Rain continues Wednesday night with a rumble or two of thunder possible, then will gradually taper off early Thursday morning. Many could see another inch on top of Tuesday’s rain-great news for the drought!
We get brisk Thursday as winds shift northwest behind a cold front and departing low pressure. This NW wind will help to dry us out and we should see some sunshine into the afternoon. Temperatures will actually stay on the mild side during the day with highs hanging in the low 50s. We get cooler Friday and cooler yet for the weekend as colder air finally sinks in. High pressure will keep conditions dry for the weekend with good sunshine, but we will be chilly and brisk. Our next round of wet weather looks to hold off until Tuesday afternoon.
